Bayern Munich goalkeeper Kahn was one of the stars of the tournament four years ago but looks like being resigned to a bit-part role this time around, having lost his staring spot to Jens Lehmann. Kahn made his national team debut more than a decade ago and has won more than 80 caps, being widely acknowledged as one of the top keepers in world football. Has been with Bayern since the summer of 1994, having started his career with Karlsruhe and has helped the Bavarian giants to seven Bundesliga titles, as well as German Cup victories. The pinnacle of his club career came in 2001 as Bayern won the Champions League after a penalty shootout against Valencia. Kahn has come under fire for his performances over the last 12 months and coach Jurgen Klinsmann has confirmed Lehmann as first choice.
