A vastly experienced forward, Neuville won the nod ahead of Kevin Kuranyi for the 23-man squad. Made his international debut back in May 1998 against Malta and has gone on to win more than 50 caps for Germany. Never a prolific goalscorer, Neuville currently plies his trade with Borussia Monchengladbach, having also had spells with Bayer Leverkusen and Hansa Rostock. Born in Switzerland, Neuville has also played in Spain with Tenerife. Offers a more all-round contribution to the other strikers in Jurgen Klinsmann's squad but is unlikely to be a regular starter.
