Although only a bit-part player at English champions Chelsea, centre-back Huth is a regular member of the Germany squad under current coach Jurgen Klinsmann. A tough, rugged, no-nonsense stopper, Huth will have to convince Klinsmann that he is ready to go after spending much of the season on the subs bench. He joined Chelsea at the tender of 16 from Union Berlin in the summer of 2000, but has struggled to make his mark and has been linked with a return to Germany on several occasions. Made his international debut against Austria in August 2004 and was a regular at the 2005 Confederations Cup.
