Shilla Illiasu was a surprise name in Ghana's World Cup squad having hardly featured for the Black Stars in the past couple of years. However, he has been in impressive form for Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko and recently helped them to qualify for the lucrative group stages of the African Champions League with a 6-1 win against Madagascan side USCAFOOT. The defender is hoping to use Germany 2006 to secure a move to a European club, with Hamburg already reported to be showing an interest in him.
