Iran's most famous player and a striker whose resume can boast more than 100 international goals. Daei has achieved legendary status in his homeland for his exceptional achievements both at home and abroad. The veteran hitman was the first Asian player to play and score in the Championship League with Hertha Berlin and was part of the Bayern Munich side that lost in the final of the same event in such dramatic circumstances to Manchester United in 1999. Now 37, Daei still has a remarkable turn of pace but his strength in the air is perhaps his greatest virtue. Although now in the twilight of his career, Daei is still considered a regular starter such is his reputation.
