A swift forward who is equally at home on either wing, Javad Kazemian could be Iran's super-sub at the World Cup finals. He was part of the Iran team that lost all three games at the FIFA World Youth Championship in 2001, having made his senior international debut against China earlier that year. The 25-year-old has remained a fringe member of the national squad ever since and most of his appearances have come as a substitute. He currently plays his club football for Persepolis, having had spells with Saipa and Dubai-based Al Ahli earlier in his career.
