Mauro Camoranesi made his Italy debut in 2003 and was part of the squad for Euro 2004, but only became a regular in the team when Marcello Lippi took charge. The Argentina-born midfielder has consistently demonstrated in Serie A that his pace and creativity can cause a threat to any defence, and Lippi will look to him to supply the Azzurri's strike-force with a steady supply of chances from the right wing in Germany. The temperamental 30-year-old had spells with Argentinian side Banfield, Mexican clubs Santos Laguna and Cruz Azul, and Hellas-Verona before joining Juventus in 2002. His form in Turin looked set to earn him international honours with Argentina, before he controversially accepted a call-up from Italy.
