A pacy left-back, Arthur Boka's attacking instincts have seen him dubbed 'the African Roberto Carlos'. Best known for his surging runs down the left flank, the 23-year-old also demonstrated an ability to provide pinpoint crosses and make incisive long-range passes during the World Cup qualifiers and African Cup of Nations, and is a certain starter in Germany. Like many of his international colleagues, Boka is a product of the famous ASEC Abidjan youth academy and began his career in European football with Beveren. In 2004 he left the Belgian side for Strasbourg where he won a League Cup winner's medal during his first season but suffered relegation from Ligue 1 in the 2005-06 campaign.
