Bonaventure Kalou is one of the most naturally gifted players in the Elephants squad but may find himself watching the World Cup from the bench. The creative attacker has a big reputation in Europe, but his lack of international goals means he has dropped behind Didier Drogba, Aruna Dindane and Arouna Kone in coach Henri Michel's plans. The 28-year-old made his name with ASEC Abidjan before joining Feyenoord in 1997. He was a member of the Dutch club's UEFA Cup winning side in 2002, but moved on to Auxerre the following year. He helped the club win the French Cup in 2005, before repeating the feat with Paris Saint-Germain in 2006.
