Beveren goalkeeper Boubacar Barry can look forward to a summer spent warming the bench in Germany, as he is behind Jean-Jacques Tizie in coach Henri Michel's plans. The 26-year-old, who is yet to reach the 10-cap mark, featured just once in World Cup qualifying and saw only 33 minutes of action at the 2006 African Cup of Nations. The agile shot-stopper made his name by helping Asec Mimosas win the African Super Cup in 1998 before joining Stade Rennais in 2001. He struggled to make an impact in France and became part of the sizeable Ivorian presence at Belgian Jupiler League side Beveren in 2003.
