A vastly experienced central defender, Cyrille Domoraud has lost both the captaincy and his place in the Elephants starting line-up in recent times. He made his international debut way back in 1996 against South Africa and has been a regular in the squad ever since. However, age has taken its toll on his natural athletic gifts and he now finds himself behind Kolo Toure, Blaise Kouassi and Abdoulaye Meite in Henri Michel's plans. Domoraud began an impressive club career with French side US Creteil before going on to have spells with Red Star 93, Bordeaux, Marseille, Internazionale, Bastia, Monaco, Espanyol and Konyaspor. He returned to Creteil in January 2005 and has been a regular in Ligue 2 ever since.
