An attacking right-back, Marc Zoro is likely to act as Emmanuel Eboue's understudy at Germany 2006. The 22-year-old is yet to establish himself as a regular starter for the Elephants, but featured four times in World Cup qualifying and was a member of the squad that finished as runners-up at the 2006 African Cup of Nations. He began his career with Serie B side Salernitana before moving on to another Italian side, Messina, in 2003. He helped the Giallorossi win promotion to Serie A for the first time in 40 years in 2004, but is best known for his stand against racism, which saw him walk off the pitch after being abused by fans of Internazionale.
