Nakazawa cuts a distinctive figure at the heart of defence for Japan with his curly long hair and gives the backline some much-needed height and strength in the air. He made his international debut back in 1999 against Iran and is another player to have won around 50 caps for his country, contributing his fair share of goals - mainly from set-pieces. He currently plays his J-League football for Yokohama F Marinos, where he has been for five years, having started his career with Verdy Kawasaki. Just missed out on selection for the tournament on home soil four years ago and will be keen to make up for that disappointment.
