A tall commanding central defender Rodriguez has become a regular member of the Mexico squad in the past couple of years. Excellent performances for Guadalajara earned Rodriguez a call-up and he made his international debut against Chile in early 2004, before featuring at the Olympic Games later in the year. He has passed the 30-cap mark for his country and at 24 has plenty of time left to win many more in the next few years.
