Aggressive midfielder who made his mark overseas before returning to Mexico with Cruz Azul. Torrado moved to Spanish football with Tenerife at the age of 21 and forged a reputation as a no-nonsense defensive midfielder before moving on to Sevilla and finally Racing Santander. Torrado, now 28, was brought into the national set up after the 1998 World Cup and scored a rare goal that was enough to secure a victory over Ecuador during the group stages four years later in Japan & South Korea. His second taste of the World Cup finals should see Torrado reach the 50-cap landmark.
