Mexico's leading striker lived up to his billing in the qualification campaign for Germany. The 32-year-old was the leading scorer in the CONCACAF qualifying zone and has an impressive goals to games ratio that sees him register once every other appearance on average. The tall striker is regarded as one of the finest headers of a ball in Mexican football and after a somewhat nomadic career around a number of provincial sides he earned a move to England with Bolton Wanderers last summer. Although not regarded as a first-team regular in the Premiership, Borgetti has been used to good effect off the bench by Trotters boss Sam Allardyce. On the international stage, however, he is very much a first choice.
