An experienced goalkeeper and Mexico's number one, who will finally play a full part in the World Cup finals after a somewhat frustrating international career. The 31-year-old has often had to play second fiddle on the international stage despite starring for club side Chivas. Sanchez finally made the breakthrough after succeeding veteran Jorge Campos, but despite making the number one jersey his own in the qualification campaign for the 2002 World Cup he was controversially overlooked in favour of Oscar Perez for the finals. Since then Sanchez has matured into one of the best keepers in the Americas and is regularly linked with a move to Europe.
