The 23-year-old midfielder was a member of Paraguay's side at the 2004 Olympics and helped his country clinch a silver medal in Athens. Dos Santos started his club career with Cerro Porteno in his homeland and was named Paraguay's Footballer of the Year in 2005. He scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for the club in 2004. Bayern Munich signed him in January 2006 as a possible long-term successor to Michael Ballack. The talented midfielder has been a regular in the international set-up since making his debut two years ago.
