A giant striker who offers coach Pawel Janas a valuable option of strength in the air alongside Maciej Zurawski. Rasiak made his international debut in February 2002 and has won around 30 caps to date, nearly making it into double figures in terms of goals scored. He has risen to prominence after moving to England to join Derby County from Groclin in the summer of 2004, after a switch to Italian side Siena fell through. The 27-year-old secured a big-money move to Spurs a year later, but returned to the Championship to link up with Southampton towards the end of last season.
