Baszczynski has recovered his place in the national team set-up after being banished for nearly three years after making his debut in 2000. A pacy right-back Baszczynski currently plays his club football with Wisla Krakow and has helped his side win four domestic league titles, having previously had spells with Ruch Chorzow and Pogon. He can also play in the centre of defence and looks like a certain starter for Pawel Janas' side, whichever role he is utilised in.
