Midfield playmaker who alongside Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o has shone for Spanish giants Barcelona during the past two years. Having been born in Brazil he was something of a controversial call-up to the national side by coach Luiz Felipe Scolari in 2003 but Deco's performances on the pitch soon silenced any doubters. The diminutive midfielder was part of the all-conquering Porto side that dominated domestically and overseas before moving to the Camp Nou in 2004 where he has lit up La Liga and the Champions League with some sublime performances.
