The current first-choice right-back who has made the position his own following a string of impressive performances during Saudi Arabia's warm-up matches. Al Bahri ousted regular right-back Ahmed Al-Doukhi when coach Marcos Paqueta arrived at the helm of the national team at the end of 2005. Part of the reasoning of the coach for selecting the youngster was his ability to get past his midfield team-mates and cross the ball from the right flank with great accuracy. At the back he remains a solid tackler who has bags of pace and energy. The Al Ittifaq player is making his first appearance in the World Cup finals.
