Former Asian Player of the Year who has struggled to fulfil his early promise after a career blighted by serious injury. Al-Temyat picked up the accolade in 2000 and arrived at the last World Cup in Japan and South Korea as his country's star player despite suffering a serious knee injury just 12 months previously. His performances in the build-up to the 2002 World Cup saw him linked with a move to Italian football but he remains in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal. Now fully-fit, the 29-year-old playmaker is arguably the most skilful player of his generation and could belatedly make an impact on the world stage in Germany.
