One of the rising stars of Serbo-Montenegrin football, Dusan Basta is facing a busy summer. The attacking right-back will play at the European Under-21 Championship in Portugal before linking up with the senior squad for Germany 2006. The call-ups are a reward for the 21-year-old's role in helping Crvena Zvezda to win the domestic double in the 2005-06 season. Basta is expected to start the World Cup opener against the Netherlands on June 11, as Ilija Petkovic will have to reshuffle his backline to cope with the one-game ban Nemaja Vidic picked up as a result of his sending off in the final qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
