Park won the Asian Young Player of the Year award in 2004 and is widely regarded as the most talented of South Korea's current crop of outstanding youngsters. The 20-year-old is currently starring for FC Seoul but has made it clear that he would willingly move to a European club after the World Cup. He scored a crucial last-gasp equaliser in the World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan and represented his country in the World Youth Championships in Holland last summer.
