The latest arrival to the international fold following a £9million move to Valencia at the beginning of the 2005-06 season. Prior to his big money move to the Mestella, Villa worked his way through the Spanish leagues having played for second division Sporting Gijon before catching the eye in La Liga with Real Zaragoza. A quick and strong striker, he has featured prominently for Valencia this season scoring more than 15 goals and has kept the likes of Patrick Kluivert out of the starting line-up.
