Also known as Juan Gutierrez Moreno, Juanito is a versatile defender who is equally at home as either a full-back or centre-half. A solid and dependable defender who came through the ranks at Real Betis, he specialises in making life difficult for opposing forwards. More of a squad player than first choice international, Juanito secured his ticket to Germany by scoring the winner in Spain's 3-2 friendly win over Ivory Coast in the spring. Having notched up four goals last term - all of which came from set-pieces - he is a real danger at dead ball situations.
