The 26-year-old Anderlecht star has become a key part of Sweden's squad in the last two years and scored two goals in ten World Cup qualifiers. The speedy Wilhelmsson was one of only a few Anderlecht players to impress during the Belgian side's ill-fated 2005-06 Champions League campaign in which they finished bottom of their group behind Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Betis. He made his international debut in 2001 but finally became a regular at Euro 2004. He started his career with Mjallby before moving to Norwegian side Stabaek and signed a four-year contract with Anderlecht in 2003.
