Elmander is currently playing in Denmark for Brondby where he has spent the last two years. The 25-year-old striker started his career in his homeland with Holmelund and Orgyte before moving to Feyenoord when aged only 18. He struggled to become a first-team regular with the Rotterdam-based side and was loaned to NAC Breda and Djurgardens before sealing a permanent switch to Brondby. He was a regular for his country's Under-21 side and scored the final goal in Sweden's 6-0 rout of Malta during the World Cup qualifying campaign.
