The 28-year-old left-footer is a versatile member of Jakob Kuhn's squad as he can play at left-back or left midfield. He had an outstanding Euro 2004 and moved from Grasshoppers to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. He made 24 Bundesliga appearances for Frankfurt this term as they successfully avoided relegation from German football's top flight. Spycher spent four seasons with Grasshoppers after previously playing for Lucerne.
