The 24-year-old right-winger played in all three games for Switzerland during their ill-fated Euro 2004 campaign and was a regular during the World Cup qualifiers, netting in the 3-1 victory against Cyprus. The pacy Lille star came through the youth team ranks at FC Baden before moving to FC Zurich at the age of 17. He moved to France at the beginning of last season after scoring seven goals in 30 games as FC Zurich finished fifth in the Swiss League and won the Cup. Gygax penned a three-year-deal with Lille last summer and has enjoyed a successful season with the French side, helping them in their Champions League campaign.
