The Arsenal striker is Togo's best known player having played a key role in the Hawks' qualification for Germany. Adebayor was snapped up by Metz when he was only 15 and, while still a teenager, scored 13 goals in 34 games as the French side clinched promotion to French football's top flight. AS Monaco signed him up at the start of the 2003-04 campaign and he helped Didier Deschamps' side reach the Champions League final two years ago. Since moving to the Gunners in a £7million deal in January, he has scored four goals in 13 Premiership appearances for Arsene Wenger's side.
