The stylish central defender is one of his country's most experienced players having starred in the Austrian League for the last seven years. Akoto joined Graz AK when he was still a teenager and stayed there until the summer of 2002 when he was transferred to Austria Vienna, where he won the domestic cup as well as the league title. He also enjoyed a brief spell at RW Erfurt before joining his current club Admira Wacker. The 25-year-old, who was raised in Ghana, played for Togo at the 2002 and 2006 African Cup of Nations.
