Kossi Agassa was a regular in Togo's starting line-up throughout their impressive World Cup qualifying campaign in which they conceded only nine goals. The 27-year-old was snapped up while still a teenager by one of Togo's largest teams - Etoile Filante - and spent three successful seasons with the club. In 2000 he moved to the Ivory Coast where he played for Africa Sports before sealing a shock transfer to Metz. He has struggled to break in to the French side's starting line-up though and spent most of this term on the substitute's bench while Gregory Wimbee has played.
