The Benevento defender enjoyed a solid African Cup of Nations campaign earlier this year despite Togo's disappointing displays. The 27-year-old was drafted into the squad for the Egypt tournament despite playing in only one World Cup qualifier. Tchangai has now appeared in four African Cup of Nations competitions after starring for his country in 1998, 2000 and 2002. He has played for a variety of clubs in several countries, enjoying spells in Togo, Tunisia and Slovenia before joining Udinese in Serie A and then De Graafschap in Holland. He has since returned to Italy and is currently playing in Serie C2.
