The talented midfielder is the creative force behind many of Togo's best moves and played a key role in his country's shock qualification for Germany. The 23-year-old also scores some vital goals, including the equaliser in the 2-1 World Cup qualifying victory against Mali. He is currently playing for French second division side Stade Brestois following last summer's transfer from German outfit Rot-Weiss Oberhausen. Salifou represented his country at the African Cup of Nations in 2002 and 2006 and started his club career at Lome in his homeland.
