The highly-rated midfielder has made his name in Switzerland and is a regular in Otto Pfister's squad. The 26-year-old, who played in virtually all Togo's World Cup qualifiers, first left his homeland for France when he signed for Nantes. After an unhappy spell with Les Canaris he moved to Switzerland, firstly to Sion. He went on to play for FC Basel, FC Thun and Servette before joining his current club - Young Boys. Aziawonou has played in two African Cup of Nations tournaments for his country in 2000 and 2006.
