The 29-year-old defender was the first Trinidad & Tobago star to play professionally in Finland - he was with Tevarit FC - after making his name with Joe Public in his homeland. Sancho went on to play for Portland Timbers in the USA before signing for Dundee in July 2003. He played 48 League games for the Dark Blues before signing for Gillingham, after a successful trial spell at the Priestfield Stadium, last summer. The central defender incurred the wrath of the League One side when he travelled with the rest of his country's squad for the vital play-off clash against Bahrain even though he was injured.
