The 27-year-old Luton Town midfielder has enjoyed a successful first season at Kenilworth Road since his free transfer switch from Wrexham last summer. He initially moved to the Red Dragons six years ago with international team-mates Dennis Lawrence and Hector Sam, and made more than 175 appearances for the club. Edwards moved to the Racecourse Ground from Defence Force in a £125,000 deal in June 2000 and was named in the Professional Football Association's Third Division Team of the Year in 2002-03 and the Second Division equivalent the following season. He has been a regular in Luton's side as Mike Newell's outfit enjoyed a successful first campaign in the Championship following promotion.
