Originally a defender, Ince was a member of the Trinidad & Tobago team which qualified for the 1991 World Youth Championships in Portugal, and was named the country's Player of the Year in 1997. He played for Fulham, Memphis, Airports Authority and Defence Force FC in his homeland before signing for Crewe Alexandra in September 1999. He spent a brief period on loan with Dundee but made 123 League appearances for Dario Gradi's side before moving to Coventry City last summer, where his first-team opportunities have been extremely limited.
