The 31-year-old central defender has played more than 200 games for Wrexham since moving to the Racecourse Ground from Defence Force for £75,000 in February 2001. He initially moved to the Red Dragons as a striker after having unsuccessful trials with Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United. The 6ft 7in Lawrence won Wrexham's Player of the Year award for the 2003-04 season and scored the winning goal in Bahrain to book the Soca Warriors' place in the finals. He made his international debut in March 2000 against the Netherland Antilles.
