Wise earned a late call-up from Trinidad & Tobago coach Leo Beenhakker after Silvio Spann was forced to withdraw from the squad with a hamstring injury. He plays his club football in Germany with Waldhof Mannheim, while he has also played in Switzerland and in American MLS. At 32 Wise is unlikely to have another chance to feature on the world stage and the winger will be keen to impress with his dribbling skills that have proved most effective on the left flank.
