The 35-year-old has made more than 400 League appearances for his four English sides since making his first-team debut for Crystal Palace over a decade ago. He actually began his career with non-league Carshalton, but made his name at Bournemouth after sealing a £35,000 move away from Selhurst Park in March 1996. Cox spent four years with the Cherries before being transferred to Burnley in a £500,000 deal. He made his Trinidad & Tobago debut while with the Clarets - against Morocco in January 2000 - but announced his international retirement just over one year later. He reversed his decision in 2004 after moving from Turf Moor to Gillingham a year earlier.
