The 21-year-old striker moved to Southampton from W Connection for a nominal fee two years ago and has impressed at St Mary's with his pace and eye for goal. He was loaned to Sheffield Wednesday during the 2004-05 campaign and scored an impressive seven goals in seven games for Paul Sturrock's side. On his return to the Saints he made two Premiership appearances before being loaned out again - this time to Stoke City - where he scored three times in 13 matches. He was a regular in the Southampton squad during the 2005-06 season although he was often restricted to appearances from the substitute's bench.
