Defensive midfielder who plays alongside international team-mate Adel Chedli in Germany with Nuremberg. The 29-year-old earned his first cap in 2002 but only established himself during Tunisia's ultimately winning run in the African Cup of Nations two years later. Mnari played all six games and became something of a national hero when he scored the winner in a tempestuous 1-0 quarter-final victory Senegal. After leaving Tunisian football in 2005 his stock has diminished slightly and is only likely to feature as a substitute in his first World Cup finals.
