Young attacking midfielder who has enjoyed a meteoric rise to the top of the game. It took Gusev, then 19, just one year to make the step up from the second division to the national side after moving to Dynamo from Arsenal Kyiv. Since then he has seen his stock rise dramatically and is regarded back in his homeland as the next star of the national side. Renowned for his vision and late runs into the box, although Gusev is not guaranteed a place in the starting line-up he would well make an impact from the bench. A former under-21 international who made his full debut against Romania shortly after arriving at Dynamo in 2003.
