A lightening quick winger and regular goalscorer, DaMarcus Beasley is expected to be the USA's main attacking threat in Germany. He made his senior international debut against China in January 2001, but it was at the FIFA World Youth Championships later that year where he made his name by netting twice in four games. He has been a regular in the senior team ever since and helped the USA win the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2002 and 2005 and reach the quarter-finals of the 2002 World Cup. Beasley has also made his mark in club football since leaving Chicago Fire for PSV Eindhoven in 2004, picking up two Eredivisie and a Dutch Cup winner's medals, as well as playing in the semi-final of the Champions League.
